The All-Rounders!

Posted on August 7, 2009 - Filed Under Shortboarding, Surftech Boards | By

Back when I was un-sponsored the John Carper 6’2″ NX-1 was my first ever Surftech, I wanted something that would go well in all conditions.

As you can see from the footage below, I’m surfing the NX-1 in various conditions, ranging from 2ft slop to clean and overhead.

I’m a middleweight surfer at about 12 and 1/2 stone and this 6’2 J C nx1 did me the world of good.

If the conditions were over head, I would stick a bigger set of fins in it and a smaller fin set-up for the usual English slop.

This board has a nice squash tail (not too wide) and the perfect amount of thickness to cater for all conditions.
If you are slightly smaller then myself, go for the J C 6’0 sd-3 and if you are slightly bigger, try the J C 6’4 Peter Mel Machine as they all share the same ‘all round’ features!

Here are your weapons for the Surftech buyer who wants everything in 1 board, enjoy!
