Board Review
These shapes were designed to with wave riding in mind. Many SUP shaped lean more toward the paddling, but I've taken the liberty of assuming the rider has already learned his paddling/balance skills and is looking to maximize his surfing performance.
I've made some compromises to ease of paddling with the outline template, leaving
some width in the front end but without using a full longboard type nose. The bottom shape utilizes a single-to-double concave to give lift and speed in critical situations so going fast enough to make waves should not be a problem. Either size should have plenty of flotation for 200 lb. surfers, depending on their skills. The concave bottom creates stability and the gentle rocker allows the boards to slip easily through the water whether one is paddling for a wave or just cruising across a lake.
The boards come with the fins set-up for a thruster/tri-fin.
The single center box, however can easily accept a bigger template single fin for those that prefer it or even if one like the 2+1 set-up of smaller side fins and a medium size single fin; all applications work and are merely a matter of personal preference.
For me the thruster set-up seems to work best.
