The Surf Commission started back in the early 90s when we all had bad hair and fluorescent shirts. Initially as a sales agency selling Mambo, Open Ocean and Alpha windsurfers. It soon became clear that to offer great service we needed to hold stock in the UK. So we got ourselves a warehouse and this allowed us to start importing boards, classic cruisers from Toes on the Nose, complete with their clothing range.
While out in the US we spotted the Surftech brand, still in its early stages it was clear to see that Randy French had a brilliant concept. We were very familiar with the epoxy technology after selling windsurfing hardware for years and knew the surf shops well from our experience with Toes. From small beginnings Surftech has grown and grown, in 2007 Surftech awarded us the 'Most Growth Award' of all their distributors. Their range continues to expand now with the addition of SUP, Ultraflx and a polyester range of boards.
In 2008 we started to work with Future Fins - the fins were great but had little coverage in the UK. We now work with all the UK's top shapers, we have Test Centres in all the key surf shops and pro riders using the fins. The brand is going from strength to strength, with new models and technology arriving all the time.
We are traditional wholesalers, we hold a massive range of boards and fins in stock in the UK and deliver regularly to the surf stores. We advertise in specialist surf media and sponsor many riders both at international and local levels.
