Bark 14′ D2 SUP Board Review

I’ve just got back from racing my D2 in the Icon Classic, North Devon. The board is very comfortable to paddle in a range of conditions. Leading up to the race I paddled it in flat water and some small wind chop. I felt the board went well in both. I normally paddle a narrower 12’6 Bark so the D2 being slightly wider is a very stable modified version of my 12’6 board. In the conditions this weekend paddling with the wind and swell the board was fantastic. I was able to keep my speed and link up the bumps well. The board looks great and it seems much sleeker than the first Dominator. The bright blue and yellow really stands out amongst a crowd. The board isn’t the lightest board around but has a comfortable handle to make carrying it pretty easy. Like most Bark boards I have used the D2 seemed like the perfect all around race board. Apparently Matt Becker spent lots of time in collaboration with Joe Bark and Surftech to make this the best it could be. I think all their hard work paid off. It’s also a great touring board because it’s so comfortable to paddle. It’s stable enough to make just doing a few miles fun. Specs: L: 14′ W: 26.4” TH: 7” V: 238.7L Fins: Single
