Young Guns Take British Junior Team Title

Posted on November 4, 2010 - Filed Under Shortboarding, Surftech Boards | By

Hey guys, last weekend I was in Croyde for the interclub titles, and my team (Atlantic Coast Surf) came through victorious! There were 10 other teams competing and it was a solid 6′, so I’m stoked we came out on top!

A very young, but experienced team, aged between 12-16 competed at Croyde beach North Devon, this weekend. Battling against 10 other teams from across the UK to win the British junior team title.
Competitors were greeted early Saturday morning with a solid 6 feet west swell, pumping through the Croyde bay. The ACS team went to work & were soon head to head with a very strong current & Three times British champions Croyde surf club. At the end of round one ACS had won all their heats & narrowly pushed ahead of locals Croyde.

This continued throughout the event, giving ACS the win with 103 points, Croyde surf club second 94 points & Woolacombe third 76 points. Thanks to event organizer Matt Knight, hosts Croyde surf club & event sponsor Tiki.

We’re also going to Lanzarote in a few weeks for the winter surf there, I’ll keep you updated!
