Webber

Greg Webber is from Sydney, Australia's Northern Beaches where he has been a key player in the development of modern short-board designs. Greg first shaped his full concave bottom in 1986, but had to wait until Shane Herring beat Kelly Slater, in the 1992 Coke Classic final, before his innovation was appreciated. In the same year he designed the first radically curved fins, and released them into the market when fin control systems were well established.

Now Greg brings his exceptional talents together with Surftech Tuflite technology represented in four new models. The 6'0' and 6'1' Squash tails are sleek replicas of boards used by some of the top pro surfers on the WCT.

With less nose rocker yet more tail rocker than most, it is a quick, responsive design, with forgiveness entirely due to the blending of rocker. These HIGH performance surfboards are for the hot up and coming surfers who have their sites set on pushing high performance surfing to new levels. The 6'4' and 6'6' Afterburners are semi-fish shapes with just enough width and thickness to increase glide and paddling speed significantly, without surfing flat like a standard fish. The slightly lower rocker compliments the width and thickness increases, and gives the 'on rail' drive to better harness the speed and manoeuvrability of the loose plan shape. The slight single concave at the front foot, with the softer rail, gives lift and speed with total forgiveness. The deeper double concave that runs out through the tail creates the grip, which gives the design more range than a standard fish.

A single concave fading to flat in nose and tail. Smooth medium rocker with no flats, bumps or breaks of curve. Strong link between planshape and rocker. Perfect board for fast flowing surfing on beach break waves.
Broad sweet spot leads to high degree of forgiveness despite great responsiveness.

Board Review
Similar to the Afterburner but with a lower rocker, more width and thickness, and an even deeper double concave and vee out of the tail.
A high volume small wave board with grunt, due to the aggressive bottom shape.
